How to use AI like the top 1% with five habits
By Ben Lane
Footage: Anthropic, from Creating custom Skills with Claude
The people who get the most out of AI don't have a better model than you. They give it more to work with, and they let it argue with them. That comes down to five habits: keep the files for a job clean and in one place, let AI listen in on the meetings where the work is agreed, talk to it instead of typing, have it interview you and then ask it for the flaws in its plan and its work, and once a job comes back right, save the method as a skill so it is done your way every time. This guide sets up all five on one job your team repeats, in Claude or ChatGPT, in about an afternoon. At the end you have a project with the job's files, a meeting note, your spoken brief, a plan it has checked with you, and a skill it uses the next time the job comes round.
