We collect what you type into a form, and a few details that come with your visit, set out below. Nothing on this site fingerprints you or buys data about you from anyone else.

• Field notes email signup: your email address.
• Contact form: name, email, company and your message.
• AI Rank quiz: your answers and score, plus name, email, company and where you’re based.
• Application to work with us: your answers, plus name, work email, phone, company and website.
• Guide request: your first name, your email address, which guide you asked for, and which of four choices fits you: “I run a business”, “I work in a company”, “I run or want to start an AI agency” or “I’m into AI for myself”. That is all we ask. The consent tick is optional and starts unticked, and we keep whether you ticked it and when. If you run a business or work in a company, we open a record for you in our sales pipeline. If you run or want to start an AI agency, or you’re into AI for yourself, it goes in our community pipeline.

If you arrive from a campaign link we record the campaign tags in the URL (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) so we know which piece of writing brought you here. When you request a guide we also keep the other tracking details that came with your visit: the rest of the UTM parameters, ad click ids such as gclid and fbclid, and the page that referred you. For each guide we keep when you first asked for it, which version you read, on how many days you opened it and the last of those days, and the campaign that brought you.

To reply to you, to assess whether we’re a fit to work together, and to send you occasional writing you asked for. The basis is your consent (email signups; withdraw it any time by unsubscribing) and our legitimate interest in responding to a business enquiry you started. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t share it with advertisers.

Form submissions are stored in our CRM (GoHighLevel). For guide requests that includes the tracking details above and your figures for each guide. Guide requests are also written to an event log in our own database (Supabase), so that no request is lost if a step fails and has to be retried. AI Rank quiz responses are stored there too, so we can report on aggregate, anonymised trends, for example how firms score across the six layers. Aggregate reporting never identifies you or your business. We also keep a client tracker in Notion, with a row for each client and for each person we’re talking to about working together. Your name and email go there when you apply to work with us. After a guide request they go there only if we move your record on in our sales or community pipeline. All three providers may process data outside the UK under their standard contractual clauses.

For as long as there’s an active conversation or relationship, and for up to two years after the last contact. Then we delete it. Ask us to remove it sooner and we will.

If you tick the box when you request a guide, we send you a short run of follow-up emails: ideas for putting the guide to use, and news about Golden Sky AI’s services. Each one has an unsubscribe link. If you leave the box unticked, you get the guide and no marketing emails.

This site sets no advertising cookies. When you ask for a guide we set one cookie, gs_guide. It holds an id that links your browser to your contact record with us, whether you’ve answered the type question, the type you chose, and whether you ticked the marketing box. It opens every guide on this site for a year and shows you the version written for your type. It also lets us record which guides you open. We use Vercel Web Analytics for aggregate page and referrer counts. It’s cookieless, stores no personal data, and can’t identify you.

Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, have it corrected or deleted, or object to us using it. Email ben@goldensky.ai and we’ll action it within one month. If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
