How to make Claude Code plan, check and repeat your work with six phrases
By Ben Lane
Illustration made for this guide, in Claude Code's colours
Most of what you ask Claude Code to do, you will ask again next week: the Monday summary, the month-end pack, the same check before anything goes out. Six short phrases, typed in the right order, turn one of those jobs into something Claude Code does for you on a schedule. Claude asks you about the job first, writes a plan you can read, splits the work into parts it does at the same time, proves the result before calling it done, saves the method so it runs the same way every time, and then runs it without you. Each phrase is a feature Anthropic documents for Claude Code (the version of Claude that works on your own computer), and this guide puts them in the order that works, with the words to type and what you should see after each one.
