How to run your firm's repetitive work with Claude Haiku 5.5
By Ben Lane
Art: Anthropic, from the Claude Haiku 5.5 launch page
Every firm has a job that is the same small task done hundreds of times: sorting the shared inbox, summarising each new document, pulling one figure out of every report. Handing that kind of work to AI was often too expensive to be worth it. On 7 October Anthropic, the company that makes Claude, released Claude Haiku 5.5. It is a small, fast model, priced at a tenth of the previous version, Haiku 4.5, for most requests, and Anthropic expects it to cost around 75% less to run. The same day, Max and Team plans began to include a monthly credit for Anthropic's API, the connection a firm uses to send Claude a whole pile of work at once instead of one chat at a time. This guide shows you how to test Haiku 5.5 on one of your own repetitive jobs against answers your team already gave, work out what each item will cost, and then run the whole pile in one go, paid from that credit if your plan has it.
